Here are my selections for Mumbai (03/04/2011).
Race-1 Nou Camp (2), Unstoppable (7), Sweaty Betty (1)/ Nuncio (10)
Nou Camp With BLK on should pull it off from Unstoppable. Of the 2 Antia wards Nuncio looks to be more talented than “Talented” and a place bet on (10) could give good dividends.
Race-2: Proud Star (3), Banana Boy (4), Circus Ring (7)
There is nothing much between Proud Star and Banana Boy here. Only the the jockey astride on Banana Boy has been on the bench for a long time and therefore does not give sufficient confidence. Circus Ring is the “unknown quantity” thrown in here.
Race-3: Living The Dream (3), Starrer (5)
Both Starrer and Icon should be cornering all attention in the betting ring Living The Dream who has competed with better company may just pu it across them at the wire.
Race-4: Pepe Junior (2), Successor (3), Ikaria (1)
Pepe Junior is junior only in name but far senior to the other two in the card and therefore should be asserting his superiority in no uncertain terms.
Race-5: Constantina (1), Lyrical symphony (4), Amora (6)
Even though Amora had clocked excellent time in her last outing win, the timings in all races on that day was quite exceptional and therefore I am not taking it as an index in my selection. Constantina which had run with better company on the same day in a different race, is my first choice.
Race-6: El Clasico (2), Martinique (1) Soneeyo (9)
A 3YO race. El Clasico has not beaten anything worthwhile in his last run, but going by the pedigree and the fact that he is more likely to improve than others prompts me to nominate it as first choice.
Race-7: Caramel (3), Glorious Miss (1),Silver Screen (6)
Antia has been winning races regularly at Mumbai, nowadays, and in the present company Caramel towers over the rest and therefore should win comfortably. CARAMEL is my Days Best bet.
Race-8: Aliyana (6), Aflatoon (1), Daffodils (10)/Scenic Silver (7)
As already stated, Antia has been winning races regularly at Mumbai, nowadays, and Aliyana therefore merits consideration ahead of Aflatoon and Daffodils.
