Here are my selections for Bangalore (26/03/2011).
Race-1 whisper In Town(11), Southern Bay (10), Blazing Ace(2).

Winner picking in a maiden race of this sort is an hazardous task. Purely on Track work the above picks are made. I would rather watch the proceedings than bet.

Race-2: Speed Six (5)
There is nothing much to beat for this son of Sixspeed here. Poor competetion. Should romp home. it is a lottery for 2nd & 3rd place. make your own pick.

Race-3: Chronicle (4), Romance In The Air (8), Marie Curie (6).
I am picking Chronicle ahead of Romance in the Air on the hope That Chronicle has definite scope for improvement. Strictly on handicapping method I follow it should be 8,5, 6, 2, 4 in that order.

Race-4: Shivalik Prince(7), Hockenheim (10),Affirmative (2).
Shivalik Prince has given the BEST spurt of the season (better than that of Tiberius), just has to reproduce that try out performance in Race track.

Race-5: Allegro (8), Manthara (7),Amber Star(5).
Drop Of Honey is the unknown quantity here. I have seen a couple of times that “unknown quantity” had won the races.

Race-6: Tiberius (3), Casanova (2)
There is nothing much to separate these except that Tiberius has won twice to that of Casanova won once record, and the latest spurt of Tiberius is also outsatanding. But 3 Y O at this stage are known to improve tremendously and past records does not always hold the clue. Paddock looks of these two may throw some light to take a final decision.

Race:7 Criminal Lawyer (5), Oban (6),Mighty Heart (7)
Aristos(1) and Corbett(3) are also contenders to this race. But I am ignoring their claims purely on the basis of lack of run during the current season. I also think that the handicapper has finally caugt up with What A Friend (4).

Race-8: Lads Gladiator (2),The Spartan (1), Amiable Lady(11)

Lads Gladiator is my Days best, not because the owner of this horse is presenting a trophy today, but purely on merit.

Race-9: Moves Goodenough (7), Sky diver (4), Sunstorm (6).
Moves Goodenough has often been campaigned over 6 furlongs without success. The step up to 7 furlongs should finally end the drought.

Race-10: Sky Rider (3), Waltz Away (6), Black Beauty(5)/Inspirator (10)
This Race is not for betting. Sky Rider looks better from all angles than the rest.

All the Best.

Hello Folks,

We come to the concluding day of the Bangalore Winter season of 2010-11.
So far,it has been a disaster.

Hence am gonna go for some REAL and RANK OUTSIDERS to recoup my losses.

1st race-
SOUTHERN BAY-Will take a fling on this runner. The mare-Priceless Glory is the FULL sister of the GREATS like SMART CHIEFTAIN,CLASSICAL ACT,SOUTHERN EMPIRE.

2ND Race-
A-STAR SPIRIT-This runner is bred for speed. The mare was bred Diffident x College Princess.
B-CLAARA-Do I need to state the reason ??Obviously,it's because of the Sire Sensation-MIDTOWN.

3RD Race-
ALPHA BABY-This runner because of the Jockey astride it-N.Rajesh.The latest kid to shine.

4TH Race-
A small 'PLACE' bet on AUTUMN RED.

5TH Race-
AETIUS-Will go Win,Shp and place on this runner.

6th race-
CASANOVA-Am choosing this runner coz the odds on Tiberius ain't worth backing it.

7TH Race-
A-ARISTOS-Has run in far superior company. If tried, will run a game race despite the heavy impost it carries.

B-SPLENDID SURPRISE-Well it could literally live up to it's name and deliver a 'Splendid Surprise'.This runner had lost SUPER MILE Cup to DIEGO RIVERA by a 'Shd',a couple of years back.

8th race-
A-SWEET SURRENDER-A runner capable of delivering in this bunch.

B-CAPTAIN'S LOVER-Was held back and delayed his final assault a tad too late to lose in a close finish in it's last run.A judicious ride should see her home.

9TH Race-
I have tThree runners as my fancied ones. They are-AIRPLAY,MOVES GOOD ENOUGH and ENFORCER.Would decide at race time.

10TH Race-
AUGUSTA-he proves to be 'AUGUSTA'(e and help in signing off the season in ROYAL STYLE.Empress) for m
Hope s
regards,
Cruise_B'lore.

PS-With regards to Bangalore Summer season, have no fears. The scrutiny of documents is yet to Then on it would be a long drawn legal affair.take place.

Here are my selections for Mumbai (27/03/2011).
Race-1 Tryst With Destiny (5), Ocean Princess (1), Thunder Strike
Tryst with is likely to just about put it across Ocean princess, which has been penalized again by 3 points equivalent to 1.5 Kgs. For her last start 2nd.

Race-2: National Glory(2), Highland Music (1),Ocean Wish (3)
There is nothing much between Highland Music and National Glory here. Only the last run of HM was pathetic and also the jockey astride this time does not inspire much.

Race-3: Aston Martin (1), Marine Zone (30, Sea Warrior(4)/Great White (6)
Aston Martin has clocked a better timing for 1400 mts. (1.23.24) than the Class I horses running in the 5th race. Should score an encore.
Race-4: Springbank(8), Riding On the Storm(3), Dovers Hill (5)
3 YO maiden races are not my cup of tea.
Race-5: Star Trainer (6), Flaming Arrow (3), Mighty Crusader (1)
My best wishes for those who back Scionic (7) in this race.
Race-6: Scarlet Pimpernal (2), Vittoria (6), Whispering Hills (7)
Again a 3YO maiden race. Scarlet Pimpernal is supposed to be among the prized possessions of the stable. First run after Gelding. Lets see wat transpires in the race track.
Race:7 ONASSIS (5), Cielo Rey (6), Native Knight (4)
Once again my best wishes remain with those punters who bet on Ocean And Beyond. It is my considered view that a 4 year old at this stage of its career cannot compete with seasoned campaigners and win a Terms race of this sort. This is my personal view and it left to every one to take it or leave it.

Race-8:Esmeraldo (1), Tropical Zone (5), Glowing Mist (7)

Again a 3YO maiden race. No comments.

Race-9: Thriller (2), Tommy Carmichael (3), Kimaya (8)
Enlightenment (6) is the unknown quantity here.
Best of Luck to all.
DRCHEENU

Race-10: Sky Rider (3), Waltz Away (6), Black Beauty(5)/Inspirator (10)
This Race is not for betting. Sky Rider looks better from all angles than the rest.

If possible I shall come back with post race review of my selections.
All the Best.

Here are my selections for Kolkotta (27/03/2011).

Race-1 Secret Idea (9), Aeropostale (11), promised Glory (7)/Mission Control
Gajender Singh is the only worry with Secret Idea. Promised Glory with BLK on has also a bright chance to pull it off.

Race-2: Andrology (1), Accomplished (4), Abaya (2)
I am going to bet in Abaya in Place. Andrology could make it today.

Race-3: No choices being a 3YO maiden race. I don’t have a clue.
Race-4: Repeat. 3 YO maiden races are not my cup of tea.
Race-5: Satsuma Star (3), Avon Creek (1), Local Warrior (4)
Satsuma Star is my days best betting proposition.
Race-6: Romantic Impact (2), Spitz (4), Record Breaker (6)
Except for Silver Fox, who likes it longer, and Credit Squeeze who needs 1400 mts., all the other 6 runners have genuine claims in this race. All these six are very closely handicapped.
Race:7: Zillionaire (188), Star Impact (1), Impressive Wish (2)
ASKAREL(9) is the ‘unknown quantity” here, But I consider that Zillionaire has that little bit more in him to pull it off this time also before the handicapper can catch him. Or will he find a match in Star Impact?
Best of Luck to all.

Hello Folks,

First a silent prayer for the soul of (late)Jockey-KARL UMRIGAR.
A talented Jockey whose career and life was cut short by a mishap on the race track.
Old Timers claim that he was Blooming rider, who had proved till he rode, and that greater glory was awaiting him before a cruel twist of fate conspired against him.He was dislodged from a horse named Vasudha and succumbed to the injuries.Died at a tender age of 19.
May God bless his soul.

1st RACE-Though small,yet could prove to a dicey one.
TARA-A winner over this distance beating Floods Of Fortune. Will chance on him and also with Srinath astride, adds to the advantage. He's a cool customer and never hustles his mounts.

2nd RACE-
NATIONAL GLORY-Has hit terrific form and is the horse they all have to beat.Let's see if his present devastating form is good enough to over come the handicap disadvantage.
OCEAN WISH-Better off in weights as compared to National Glory and should National Glory falter then this horse should romp home.Running on 11-1/2 kg advantage over National Glory.

3rd RACE-
GRAND WARRIOR-The connections of this runner have been having a pathetic season so far.Hopefully this runner reverses the trend.

4th RACE-
DOVERS HILL-It's surprising to see that this runner isn't among the First two fancies in betting. He's bred in FULL to well performed-CRUISING,SABA and NESSIE.
RIDING ON THE STORM-Keep an eye on this runner. He towers over them on sheer breeding.Unfortunately seems to have vet problems(Laryngeal Abnormality). We have no clue on the severity of the problem but still,I would say that if any Runner is to upset,it is HIM.

5th RACE-
FLAMING ARROW-The reasoning stand on same grounds as it's ownermate-Grand Warrior.

6th RACE-
SCARLET PIMPERNEL-A got abroad whose Sire(Hold The Tiger)has been doing good with his progenies.I see no reason as to why the same cannot replicate here in India.Should run a mighty race.
VITTORIA-Trained by the Old(age) but lethal Warrior yet,Tr Bezan Chenoy, who still shows his skills with well breds and Vittoria has it in her to deliver.

7th RACE-
OCEAN AND BEYOND-Should be a ONE HORSE RACE with the rest slugging it out for the minor pickings.
Mr GREEDY could place along with CIELO RAY.

8th RACE-
ESMERALDO is the best here.
BONGANI comes in next.

9th RACE-
Will reserve my judgement on this race.I shall await the results of the First Eight races to give me a hint. Will make a call based on that.
THRILLER,TOMMY CARMICHAEL and FLUENT VICTORY merit a thought.

Enjoy the races.
regards,
Cruise_B'lore.
